Lawrence Bushey

Lawrence A. Bushey, 85, lifelong resident of Duluth, died Friday February 8, 2019 in St. Luke’s Hospital.  He was born in Duluth on December 4, 1933 to Arthur and Borgil Bushey.  Larry attended UMD and was a Korean War Marine Corps Veteran.  He worked for the Duluth Fire Department retiring as Fire Chief in 1993.  Larry married Roberta “Bobbie” Gran in Duluth, MN on April 30, 1955.  He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, and he enjoyed fishing.  Larry’s family wishes to extend a special thank you to the dialysis team at Miller Dwan Hospital including Adam and Whitney and Doctors Popham and Kleinschmidt for their excellent care.

Larry is survived by his wife Bobbie, children Bryan (Nancy) Bushey, Kathy (Gregg) Andrews, Carrie (Dennis) Malvick, Kris Bushey, Brad (Lori) Bushey, and Jerry (Stacey) Bushey, grandchildren Ariane, Cameron, Brittany, Jake, Abby, Janelle, Carter, Hannah, and Addie.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday February 12, 2019 from 5PM to 7PM in Dougherty Funeral Home.  600 E. 2nd St. Duluth, MN 55805, 218-727-3555.  Private Family Services will be held.  Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
