Linda Gontjes

Linda J. (Kendrick) Gontjes, age 73, of Duluth, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 1, 2013.
Linda Joyce Kendrick was born November 12, 1939 in Dwyee, Nevada, the daughter of Ement and Marie (Wood) Kendrick. The family later moved to Linton, North Dakota where she grew up and attended school. She moved to the Twin Cities and later settled in Duluth. She worked as a switchboard operator at St. Luke's Hospital for several years.
She is survived by her sons, Martin (Kerri) Gontjes, John (Sue) Gontjes, and Scott Gontjes, all of Duluth, brother Everette "Bud" (Brenna) Kendrick of Ashville, North Carolina, sisters, Carol (Ed) Ely of Sacramento, CA, and Marianne Walrath of Fond du lac, WI, and eight grandchildren.
Visitation: 1 pm, Wednesday, March 13, 2013 until the 2 pm Memorial Service at the Duluth Bible Church (former Washburn Elementary School) 201 West St. Andrew Street, Duluth. Burial at Forest Hill Cemetery, Duluth. Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home (218) 727-3555.
