Lois May Hassler, 81 of Duluth, passed away peacefully, on Thursday, December 21, 2017 in Duluth.
She was born in Duluth, on May 5, 1936 to Gust and Evelyn Kohlts.
She graduated from Central High School in 1954. She was an LPN at St Mary's hospital and the Duluth Clinic where she retired after a fulfilling career.
She spent time camping and boating. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Most of all she was a caregiver who enriched everyone's life that she touched.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Reldon; and son, Ricke L Hassler.
Lois is survived by daughters, Tanda (Phillip) Fleming, of Gilbert, SC, Valery (Mark) Youngstrand, Plymouth, MN, and Tara (Andy) Dargatz, Duluth, MN; grandchildren, Jennifer, Alison, Matt, Ryan, Charlie, Allie, Molly, Rachel, Laura, Dan, Ashley, and Cory; great-grandchildren; “JR.” Erin, Evelyn, Landon, Avaley, Lucy, Kaden, and Voyen; brother, Gus (Gail) Kohlts, of Duluth, MN; sister, Elaine (Rod) Anderson, of Mission Viejo, CA; daughter-in-law, Lisa Hassler, of New Richmond, WI; and other family and friends.
Visitation will be 1PM Thursday, January 4, 2018 until the Funeral service starting at 2PM, in the Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E 2nd Street, Duluth, MN 55805.
