Lou Nylen

Lou Ann Nylen 77, of Duluth, passed away peacefully after a long struggle with her illness, on Monday, August 18, 2014.
Lou was born in Clearbrook, MN, on October 7, 1936, to Ruben and Mildred Anderson.
Lou loved to teach; she taught Art in several area schools, touching many lives until she retired. She enjoyed making pottery, drawing, painting, photography, and especially taking care of her geese and ducks.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jay Steele.
Lou is survived by her son, Rod Steele; sister, Joanne Jarrgues; longtime friend and caregiver, Patti Erickson; grandchildren, Joshua E Lucas, and Jacob A Halbrook; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be from 3-5PM, Sunday, August 24, 2014, in the Dougherty Funeral Home, Visitation will continue on Monday at 10AM till the start of the service beginning at 11AM.
