Lyla Erickson

Lyla Ruth Erickson, 86, of Duluth, died Friday, February 20, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospice. She was born March 28, 1928 to Alexander S. and Lillian ((Bloom) Black, Sr. While working as a secretary for U. S. Steel in Duluth, she met her husband Howard. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and fishing. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Alexander S. Black, Jr. Lyla is survived by her husband Howard; her step-son Dennis Erickson of Pittsburg, Pa; friend "Jiggs"; and nieces and nephews. Visitation: 10 AM Wednesday, February 25th. until the 11 AM funeral service at Dougherty Funeral Home. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E.
