Margaret Beatrice “Peggy” Fox, 89, of Duluth, died on Valentine’s Day, Tuesday, February 14, 2017 in Duluth. She was born April 12, 1927 in Minneapolis, Minn. to Florence Beatrice (Hanson) and Raymond Paul Nagell. Peggy was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. She was involved in many activities. She volunteered as a docent at Glensheen for 15 years, taught through Community Education for 17+ years and taught at the University Nursery School for 14 years. She was a member of the University Women’s Club, a member of TOPS, two bridge clubs and a book club. Peggy loved spending time with her friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister Dorothy and her brothers Robert, Ronald and Raymond.
Peggy is survived by her five children: Jayne Fox of Maple Grove, Minn, John (Paula) Fox of Minneapolis, Nancy (Paul) Kochmann of Oxbow, ND, James (Kristin) Fox of Duluth, and Robert Fox of Duluth; ten grandchildren: Jillian, Jacob, Elizabeth, Sara, Lindsay, Whitney, Sophie, Carter, Andrew and Connor; five siblings: Florence, Marion, Elvira, Russell and Donald.
Visitation: 5 – 7 pm Thursday, February 16th with a prayer service at 6:30 pm at Dougherty Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Friday from 10 am until the 11 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 1419 St. Benedict St. If so desired, memorials to St. Luke’s Hospice would be appreciated.
