Margaret Jakubek

Margaret Kathryn Jakubek, 96, of Duluth passed away on Monday July 22, 2013 at Viewcrest Health Center.
Margaret was born March 23, 1917 in Gnesen Township, to Ellen Hickey and James Curran. She graduated from Central High School and later married Samuel S. Jakubek; she was a full time wife, elegant mother and homemaker. She loved watching football (MN Vikings) every Sunday. She loved music, especially Elvis Presley, and was a great dancer. She lived at her residence on Adirondack St. for 64 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel in 2001; her two sons, Edward in 1996 and Timothy in 2012; her parents and brothers, Edward, William, Frank, Irving, Patrick, and Michael.
She is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Deb) Jakubek of Elk River; daughters, Kelly Jakubek of Duluth, and Tracey (Joseph) Kayoum of Northfield MN; grandchildren, Tiffany Jakubek of Minneapolis, and Katie Kayoum of Northfield MN.
Services will be 11am Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013 in Dougherty Funeral Home Chapel. A gathering of family and friends one hour prior.
