Marguerite Cox Larson, age 92, of Duluth, died Wednesday, July 24, 2013 in Duluth. She was born February 27, 1921 in Duluth to Alan and Julia Cox. She was a 1939 graduate of Duluth Central High School. Marguerite married Carl A. Larson July 4, 1939. Throughout her life, she was active in Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, past president of Grant Elementary School PTA, volunteer for St. Mary's Hospital, Sunday School teacher at First Lutheran Church, and also, enjoyed square dancing and bowling. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister and brother-in-law, Marion and Tom Fitzpatrick, and her husband of 65 years, Carl, in 2004. Marguerite is survived by two daughters: Carolyn (Dan) Wooster of Mt. Pleasant, WI. and Phyllis (Glenn) Stimler of Plymouth, MN.; her son, Richard (Barbara) Larson of Bailey, CO.; her sister Jane (Allen) Krause of Two Harbors, MN., 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; many nieces and a nephew. Visitation: 4-6pm Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Dougherty Funeral Home, continuing on Monday, July 29th. from 10 am until the 11am funeral service at Dougherty Funeral Home. Memorials directed to First Lutheran Church's Radio Broadcast program would be appreciated. Entombment will be at Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery, Hermantown.
