Marilyn Manderfeld

November 4, 1929 — June 9, 2012

Marilyn Manderfeld of Duluth, passed away June 9th after a graceful battle with cancer. She was born Chippewa Falls, Wis., Nov. 4, 1929. She graduated from McDonell High School and the U of Wisconsin, Eau Claire. She is survived by her loving family: husband of 60 years James H. Manderfeld; sons Mark (Deb), David (Laura Fenstad), Peter (Michelle) and Christopher (Kessey Magloire). daughters Leslie (Jack) Butler and Michele (Bruce Troge) Swanson; grandchildren Nicholas, Michael (Casey Youngbloom), Matthew, Jessica, Elizabeth, Katherine and Noah Manderfeld; Kristine, Joshua, and Mikayla Swanson and great grandson Noble; brother E. David (Kaye) Willette; brother- in-law Bob Vaudreiul; six nieces; two nephews and many special friends. Marilyn led an active life that included her devotion to her large family, her love of the game of bridge and the friendships that came with it, and a 30 year history of volunteering at the Benedictine Health Center. Special thanks to Drs. Joe Levine and Ken Dornfeld and hospice nurse Larry for their compassionate care. VISITATION: 10 a.m. Friday, June 15, until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial in the Cathedral of our Lady of the Rosary, Duluth. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Benedictine Health Center, Duluth Womens Club, or donors choice. Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, (218) 727-3555.
