Marion Fritch

Marion M. Fritch, 100, of Duluth, passed away on Friday July 3, 2015 at the Lighthouse of Superior. She was born in Duluth on May 30, 1915 to Frank and Ellen Rich. Marion had worked at UMD as a Senior Secretary in the Psychology Department until her retirement. She was a very active member of Chester Park Methodist Church. Marion enjoyed crafting, and attending her children and grandchildren's sporting events, she never missed a game. She was a big supporter of Animal Allies in Duluth. The family would like to extend our appreciation to St. Luke's Hospice and special thanks to the caring staff at Lighthouse of Superior's, Betty's Harbor.
Marion was preceded in death by her husband Howard, son Howie, and her brother Howard Rich.
Marion is survived by her sons Herbert (Barbara) of Nashville, TN, Gary (Bonnie) of Duluth, grandchildren Aaron, Amber (Brian) Costello, April (Andrew) Davis, Stephanie (Adam) Lilla, Jodi (Michael) Wood, and Jamie (Landry) Seedig, 14 great-grandchildren, and her beloved dog Skippy.
Visitation will be held on Saturday July 11, 2015 from 10AM until the 11AM Funeral Service in Dougherty Funeral Home. 600 E. 2nd Street, Duluth, MN 55805. 218-727-3555. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Duluth Heritage Center.
