Marion A. (Koestler) Fuller passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014 at her home with her loving husband by her side. Marion was born in Ashland, WI to Charles and Lucy Koestler where she grew up. After graduation from High School she moved to Duluth where she met and married Richard Fuller. Soon after, they moved to Minneapolis where she and Richard could pursue their art forms of music and Art History, for which they shared a passion. Marion continued her studies majoring in art history, and later on received her BA degree from the University of Arizona. After returning to Duluth she worked for years as a business secretary to the District Manager of The Traveler's Insurance Company.
Marion was a very loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, always giving of herself, unselfishly to family and friends and well known for the many wonderful dinners she served. Relaxing times were spent at their Island Lake home for all to enjoy. After retirement, winters were spent in Arizona, and there was now time to travel extensively to countries abroad and discover their treasures of art. While Richard taught piano and painted on canvas; Marion continued on with her interest in art and opened her own successful business of exquisite crystal pieces created and imported by old world artisans of the Czech Republic. Her orders were filled by representatives in Minneapolis and Chicago. Marion was a very busy and vibrant lady; not to be forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Glenn; and sister, Priscilla Poss.
Marion is survived and most sadly missed by her husband Richard; daughter, Diane (Mark) Krmpotich of Waukesha WI; son, John of Silver Bay; granddaughters, Nicole Krmpotich of Waukesha WI, and Michelle (Zack) Flodeen of Vancouver Wash; great-granddaughter, Colette Flodeen; nieces, Barbara and Joanne; and sister-in-law, Betty and husband, Joe.
The family wishes to express their thanks and appreciation to Home Instead; Char, Bonnie, and especially Cindy for their wonderful care.
Visitation will be at 10AM, Friday, June 6, 2014 until the start of the service at 11AM at the Dougherty Funeral Home.
