Marlene Joy Hoban, 83, of Duluth died Saturday, August 15, 2015 in Solvay Hospice House. Born in Duluth to John and Lorna (LaFrance) Thompson she was a lifelong Duluth resident. A homemaker she was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Duluth Heights, Red Hats, Diet Club, Turtle Patrol, Sewing Club and the Birthday Club. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband John Hoban, Sr. Survivors include her daughters Mary (Ken) Miller, Tracy (Tony) Netzel; sons, John (Deb) Hoban and Kelly Hoban; grandchildren Jamie, John, Michael, Nickie, Rachel, Brooke and Taylor; eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank her many friends and the caregivers at Solvay Hospice House.
Visitation: 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. Wednesday with wake prayers at 6:30 P.M. in Dougherty Funeral Home. Visitation will continue from 10:00 until the 11:00 A.M.
