Mary Gemuenden
May 17, 1937 — January 29, 2014
Mary Elizabeth Gemuenden, 76, of Duluth, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital.
She was born May 17, 1937, in Perham Minnesota, to Otto and Maime Wendt.
Mary graduated from Bigfork High School and continued her education in the nursing field. She was united in marriage with William Gemuenden in September of 1957. They have resided in Duluth for the past 55 years, where Mary was a wonderful mother, wife and tutor. She was warm, outgoing, and loved by many. Mary enjoyed gardening, crafts, cooking, sewing, and, most of all, she enjoyed people. She was an active member at Glen Avon Presbyterian Church.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Maime Wendt; brother, Bob; and sister, Betty.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; two children, Marie and Don (Mary); seven grandchildren, Crystal (Pat), Tyler (Steph), Travis, Rebekah, Joshua, Jacob, and Anna; two brothers, Don and Tom (Paula).
Memorials directed to Glen Avon Presbyterian Church.
