Mary Roden

Mary Anne (Rovello) Roden, 81, of Duluth passed away peacefully on November 7, 2021 at Benedictine Health Center. Mary Anne was born June 23, 1940 to August and Marrietta Rovello. Mary Anne graduated from Duluth Cathedral. It was there that she met the love of her life, Dave. They later married on August 8, 1961 . In her early career, Mary Anne was a beautician.
She later was a homemaker and raised 4 children. She instilled hard work, determination and the importance of family. Mary Anne enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the cabin on Lake Elora. Her winters at Fort Myers Beach brought her joy. She loved having the kids and grandkids visit. Mary Anne is survived by her children Cindy (Gordy Westendorf), Anne Marie (Jim) Bergman, Mary Beth (Kurt) Gronseth, Brad (Mary Kay) Roden. Grandchildren: Micayla (Colin) Berg, Brianna, Kiara, Garrett, and Joshua Westendorf; Dan (Kari), Hannah, Tanner (Megan Cornelison) Bergman; Allyson and Tyler Gronseth; Emma and Tiegan Roden; and great grandson Ryker Bergman. She is also survived by a sister in-law Susan (Robert ) Thomson and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband Dave, her parents Marrietta and August Rovello and brother August Rovello Jr.
A private family service will be held with interment at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Benedictine Living Community Foundation-Salon 935 Kenwood Ave.,
