Maxine G. Stewart, of Duluth,passed away peacefullyon May 26, in her home.Maxine was born in Duluthon March 20, 1923.She graduated fromSanta Anna High School in1941 and attended SantaAnna Jr. College. Sheworked at the Santa AnnaArmy Air Base until returningto Duluth in 1946.Maxine married RichardE. Stewart in 1949 and washis partner in StewartsWheel Goods. She was alsoa partner in the Spinning Wheel needle work shop;founding member of theNeedle Art Guild, boardmember at Aftenro Home;was a certified Graphoanalystand was a pianist forthe Marybelles of St. Marys Hospital.She was preceded in death by her parents, Simonand Olga Giliuson and hersister, Yvonne G. Pabst.Maxine is survived and missed by her husband, Richard E. Stewart; daughters,Susan E. Stewart ofJacksonville Beach, Fla.,and Lesley S. Lenox of Duluth;her sisters, Barbara Bironof Duluth and PatriciaG.
