Michael D. Billman, 54 of Saginaw died Friday, February 27, 2015 at the Solvay Hospice House after a long illness, with his family by his side.
Mike was born November 17, 1960 to Donn and Aileen Billman and he graduated from Proctor High School. At age ten, Mike began working with his dad at Billman Construction and he continued right up to his death. Mike married the love of his life, Loretta (Durovec) on May 2, 1981. He was a member of the Duluth Power Squadron, 242 Yacht Club and served on the Hermantown Planning and Zoning Commission. He enjoyed boating, motorcycling and he loved animals, especially his Siberian Tiger, "Jasser".
He was preceded in death by his father, Donn Billman in 2004.
Mike is survived by his wife, Loretta; daughter, Kari (Joe) Matthes; son, Andy Billman; his mother, Aileen Billman; grandchildren, Benjiman, Leif and Sophia; brothers, Patrick (Sheryl) Billman and Gregg (Kim) Billman and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7pm in the Dougherty Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Thursday from 10am to the 11am Services at St. Raphael's Church, 5779 Seville Rd., Pike Lake. Burial at Grand Lake Cemetery. Arrangments by the Dougherty Funeral home, 600 E 2nd St. Duluth, MN, (218) 727-3555.
