Michael (Mike) Robert Cuillierrier of Duluth, MN passed away unexpectedly in his home on January 9, 2024, at the age of 72 due to health complications. Mike was born twenty minutes before his twin sister Patricia, on September 18, 1951, in Duluth, MN, growing up in West End having attended Denfeld High School.
Mike was an avid roller skater in his youth and had many stories of how much he loved his time at Saints Roller Rink. His passion in life was rebuilding cars; among them a GT Torino rag top, Road Runner, Buick Skylark, and much more. His kids learned some fine language spending time in the garage with him in their youth and loved riding around West Duluth in his prized hot rods, in particular doing donuts in the snow on Cody Street. He loved a good book, Clint Eastwood movies, Miami Vice, and believe it or not, the Twilight movies.
Mike married his wife Tina September of 1982, and years later they moved to Finland, MN were for many years they ran and operated the Four Seasons bar and restaurant. Prior to that Mike worked for National Iron until the plant closed, also had his own sheet rocking and painting business, then began work for ICO, and Gary New Duluth liquor store until his retirement. He was known for his cars, quick wit, stories, wicked smile, blue eyes, and sense of humor.
Mike is proceeded in death by his father, Robert Cullierrier; mother, Doris Cuillierrier; brother, Steven Cuillierrier; grandparents, Leo Spooner (Cuillierrier), Lillian Abrahamson, Charles Yarrington, and Emma Yarrington; and brother-in-law, Rodney Radich.
He is survived by his wife, Tina (Aho) Cuillierrier; children, Mindy (Tony) Sonneman, Missy (Dan) Meierhoff, and Brandon Cuillierrier; granddaughters, Janessa Kuhlmey, Haley Sonneman, Charley Sonneman, and Josie Meierhoff; siblings, Cheryl (Tim) Gella, Patricia Radich, Rick Cuillierrier, Bob Cuillierrier, Tim Cuillierrier, and Mark (Tammy) Cuillierrier; and many nieces and nephews.
Celebration of life will be from 4PM to 6PM, Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at the Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E 2nd Street, Duluth, MN 55805.
