Michael Lee DeGrio, 61, of Duluth, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was born in Duluth October 26, 1954 to Annette R. (Sabot) and Armand J. DeGrio.
Mike was the owner of Highland Signs for 25 years. He was an excellent welder and fabricator.
Mike enjoyed hunting and 4 wheeling at the shack with his buddies. He also enjoyed fishing, boating and snowmobiling. He enjoyed all seasons in Minnesota. And he always enjoyed time with friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mike is survived by his wife Shelby Ringhofer-DeGrio; son Charles (Morgan) Cossette; daughter Terra (Weston) Siefert; stepson Kyle Ringhofer; siblings: Ralph, Danny (Karen), Arlette, Ron (Maureen), Debbie (Terry) Nutt and Denise (Paul) Dahlgren; nieces and nephews: Charles, Michele, Suzanne, Katie, David, Anna and Nicole; great nephews Isaac and Noah; great niece Grace; in-laws Peter and Betsy Ringhofer; and his faithful companion Sasha.
Visitation: 5–8 PM Monday, Oct. 3, 2016 at Dougherty Funeral Home. Visitation continues on Tues., Oct 4th from 10 AM until the 11 AM funeral service at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 151 W Linden St. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
