Mickey Targgart, 86, of Pike Lake, died suddenly, Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Chris Jensen. Mickey was born July 9, 1926 in Michigan City, Indiana to Mark and Ann Strutz. She met and then married Jack Targgart on September 6, 1947 and they moved to Duluth in 1958. While in Indiana, Mickey worked for a railroad and a bank. In Duluth, Mickey worked with her husband Jack in the meat dept at Paulson's Super Valu at Pike Lake.
Mickey was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Pike Lake. She enjoyed the outdoors, golfing, hunting and fishing; traveling to casinos, especially Vegas, playing cards with friends, but most of all spending time with family and friends, she will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mark and Ann Strutz.
Mickey is survived by her husband, Jack; daughter, Sandy (Fred) Cerretti of Cary, NC; her grandchildren, Michael and Lauren Cerretti; her sister, Rosella Prosnikar of LaPorte, IN; sister-in-law, Mae Brooks of Lenoire, NC; special friends, Dexter and Vi Liljegren, Swede and Vera Hanson, Don and Karen Romano and Mark and Sue Rauschenfels and many close friends, nieces and nephews to numerous too mention.
