'Muffett' Frances Kamp

Muffett (Frances) Kamp, age 61, of Duluth, died unexpectedly Wednesday, February 28, 2018 while on vacation in Florida, after a brief battle with cancer.  She was born in Duluth, on January 30, 1957, to Michael and Frances 'Putts' Ritchie.  Muffett graduated from East High School in 1975 and married Daniel Kamp in October 1979.  She had a special relationship with her clients while working as a bookkeeper and was currently employed at Wipfli CPA and Consultants, LLP. Muffett enjoyed crafts, cooking, gardening and taking care of her lawn. She looked forward to the Wednesday night women's bowling league at Country Lanes as well as spending time with the women from 'Bad Girls from the North'.  She loved traveling with the girls to Vegas. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, hot weather and 4-wheeling adventures. Her favorite place was Florida and she made it a point to go the last couple of years with her husband and nieces and nephews.
Muffett is survived by her husband Dan; her mother Frances “Putts” Ritchie; her father Michael Ritchie; her siblings:  Tom (Clare) Ritchie, Steve Ricci, Pattie (Bill) Larson, Michael (Julie) Ritchie, Kathy (Bill) Kubiski, Joey Ritchie, and Susan (Mark) Mohler, her in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews; with special recognition to Adrienne and Josh Toms, Ian Ritchie, Joy and Paul Peterson, Michael Charles Ritchie and Molly and Tim Hale, and their families.  Visitation:  5-7 PM Thursday, March 8, 2018, with wake prayers at 6:30 PM at Dougherty Funeral Home.  Visitation will continue Friday, March 9th. from 10 AM until the 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.  Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E.
