Nancy Marotta

Nancy Patricia Marotta of Duluth, died at Solvay Hospice House on Wednesday April 28, 2021.  She was born on October 14, 1939 to Margaret and Emanuel Malzac.

Nancy enjoyed spending time with friends and family and time outdoors.  The family wishes to extend a Thank you to the caring staff at Solvay Hospice House.

She was preceded in death by parents, mother-in-Law Winnifred Cooke Marotta, ex-husband and father of children, Bob (Hope) Marotta, son Wes, brothers John and Sonny Malzac.

Survived by children Tammie of Duluth MN, Becky (Bill Fasbender) of Foxboro WI. Grandchildren Sean (Veronica) Knaffla, Nicole (Ben Biermaier) Knaffla. Great-grandchildren Brooks, Bailey, Dean, and one more due in July.  Sisters Mary (Lowell) Moody of Boulder City NV, Lucy (Richard) Horvatich of Duluth, sister-in-law Peggy Malzac of Duluth MN, Mary Gail (Jesse) Ratchford of San Marcos TX. Son in law Mick (Ranae) Knaffla.

Visitation will be held on Thursday May 6, 2021 from 5PM to 7PM in Holy Family Catholic Church.  2430 W. 3rd St. Duluth, MN 55806.  Visitation will continue Friday May 7, 2021 from 10AM until the 11AM Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Family Church.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.  Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home.  600 E. 2nd St. Duluth, MN 55805.  218-727-3555.
