Nancy Needham

Nancy Carol Needham, 84, of Duluth, passed away on Thursday September 17, 2020.  She was born in Duluth on April 8, 1936 to Leonard and Florence Miller.  Nancy had worked at Myers-Wilkins Elementary School as a Teachers Aide.   She was a member of the Grand Portage Chippewa Tribe, elder exercise group at FDL and St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church.  Nancy enjoyed traveling to Grand Portage for Powwow’s, she was a former league bowler, she loved to read, crochet, going on walks and car rides.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, son Mitchell, sister Barb Sinjem, and Fletcher.

Nancy is survived by her children Patrick (Kim) Needham,  Margaret Needham and Emma, grandchildren Amanda and Patrick, great-grandchildren Christopher, Peyton, Jasmine, and Jayden, sister Patricia (John) Dudy, special friend Nancy Cody and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday September 24, 2020 from 9AM until the 10AM Mass of Christian Burial with a 9AM Rosary Recitation in St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church.  325 E. 3rd St. Duluth, MN 55805.  Burial will be in Polish Catholic Cemetery.  Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home.  600 E. 2nd St. Duluth, MN 55805.  218-727-3555.
