Neil Norfolk

Neil J. Norfolk, age 91, of Duluth, passed away Monday, October 22, 2012 at the Benedictine Health Center. He was born in Superior, Wisc. on July 29, 1921 to Helen (O'Brien) Swanson. Neil was a proud veteran serving in the Air Force during World War II. He worked at the Superior Post Office for 28 years and enjoyed retirement for the past 25 years. He was an avid golfer, bowler, and enjoyed watching baseball at Duluth's Wade Stadium. Neil was a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his mother. Neil is survived by his loving wife, Elrose; his daughters Becky (John) Lokke and Neila (Patrick) Kilgore; his stepchildren: Kathryn Paul, Mary Jo McGath and John A. (Terri) Cismowski; his brother Don (Molly) Dauplaise; and numerous grand and great-grand children. Neil will be sadly missed by all those who knew him. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Dougherty Funeral Home. Military honors will be accorded by the Duluth Combined Honor Guard.
