Norman Grubenla
December 1, 1937 — February 26, 2016
Norman Grubenla 78, of Hermantown, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2016, at the Benedictine Health Center with his wife by his side, following a battle with cancer.
Norm was born in Brevator Township to John and Myrtle Grubenla. He was a graduate of Cloquet High School and UMD. He was a Navy veteran. Norm married Judy Gustafson in 1972. He was a loving husband and father. Norm worked as a dental technician and had been the owner of Port Cities Dental Lab. He was an active member of St Raphael's Church. Norm loved reading and history.
He was preceded in death by his father; and sister, Joanne Johnson.
Norm is survived by his loving wife, Judy; daughters Amy Grubenla, and Melanie (Alex) Rasskazov; grandchildren George and Julia; mother Myrtle; sister, Shirley (Craig) Brouse; aunt Betty Ann Berglund; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11AM, Saturday, March 5, 2016, with visitation one hour prior, in St Raphael's Church, 5779 Seville Rd, Hermantown, MN 55811.
