Patricia Baker

Pat Ellen Baker, 82, of Hermantown, MN passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 29, 2019 at the Marywood Assisted Living Center in Duluth with family by her side after battling dementia for several years.

Pat was born in Duluth MN to Lars and Eleanor Modean on November 10, 1936 and graduated from Denfeld High School in 1954.

Pat met Lee Baker at Cub roller rink in Pike Lake and they married on June 11, 1955. She worked many years and retired from the Hermantown Public Schools. Pat was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Hermantown. She adored her husband and large family and spent endless hours on the road following her kids and grandchildren while they played sports. She was an avid bowler for many years. Pat had a wonderful group of friends she traveled and spent time with. The place that brought her the most peace was her home she built together with Lee on Island Lake.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lee (2012), and granddaughter Shelby.

Pat is survived by her sons, Scott (Brenda), Mark (Cindi), and Jerry (Sue); Daughters, Wendy (Dale) Wright, Tammy (Jason) Sweeney, and Beth (Tom) Bittman; Brothers, Larry (Sue) Modean, Glenn (Sue) Modean: 17 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank the Benedictine Health System for the wonderful care they provided our mother.
