Patricia A. Bergholm, 79, of Duluth, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on July 3, 2015, and went to be with her Lord and Savior after a courageous battle with Ovarian Cancer. She was born in Duluth on February 10, 1936 to Warren and Ila Drake. She attended Duluth Central High School. Pat had worked at Bruins, Bagley's, Garon Brothers, and at Northway Carrier. Pat was an active member of both Lakeview Covenant and Emmanuel Baptist Church's. She was an ardent reader and member of various book clubs. Pat had a passion for letter writing which not only included her friends and family, but also many disabled adults. Pat was married to her loving husband Don for 59 years, during which they had 2 children, 4 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Pat's Family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Peter Kebbekus and Dr. Colleen Evans and the staff at Solvay Hospice House for their skilled and compassionate care.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Catherine Florestano.
Pat was loved very much and will be deeply missed by her husband Don Sr., children Tara and Barry Wain of Carlton, Don and Lori Bergholm Jr. of Hermantown, grandchildren Haley and Dameon Bryant of Carlton, Ashley and Andy Omar of Carlton, Erik and Kyle Bergholm of Hermantown, great-grandchildren Quinn and Jordan Bryant of Carlton, Mason and Baby Omar "Pat's first great-granddaughter due later this month", Sister-in-laws Geraldine Jones and Family of Chester, VA, and Lois and Louis Dupree and family of South Jordan, UT, cousin Ernie, Tammy, and Ardianna Orchard of Las Vegas, NV., and nephew Tom, Brenda, Matthew, Joseph, Andrew, and Thomas Florestano of Duluth.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Thursday July 9, 2015 in Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1505 Eklund, Ave., Duluth, MN 55811, from 10AM until the 11AM Funeral Service. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home 600 E. 2nd Street, Duluth, MN 55805. 218-727-3555.
