Patricia Wollack

Patricia Sue Wollack, 78, of Duluth, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side Sunday, December 15, 2019, after a courageous 8-year journey with Multiple Myeloma. She was born in Duluth on January 29, 1941, to Wyman and Eleanor Collier. She was known for her gentle nature, classy style, and pioneer red lipstick.

Pat graduated from UMD and was hired at WDSM TV, where she worked as a copywriter and model. Afterwards Pat owned Maple Grove Acres, and Ye Old Sawmill; she also worked at Duluth city hall, finally she was hired at UMD in the environmental health and safety master’s program as an executive assistant, retiring after 25 years in 2012.

She enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, wildlife, picnics, yearly weekend trips with her UMD girlfriends, scenic drives, family trips and especially desserts. She made all life’s moments big or small special to everyone.  Most importantly she was devoted to God, her husband Jim and her family.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband James; parents; brothers, Warren, and Howie Collier, infant grandchildren, Andrew, Joseph, and Nicholas; and uncle, Howard Quesnel.

She is survived by daughters, Kimberly (Shane) Olson, Michelle (Michael) Tessier, Christina (Adam) Castilleja, Tricia (William) Manahan; son, James (Rebecca); grandchildren, Wade, Nichole (Kyle), Ben (Emily), Isabel, Mari, Maddie, Ryan, Abe, Eleanor; great-grandchildren, Eilee, Isaac, Kolbe, and Elin; and many dear nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be 5-7PM, Friday, December 20, 2019, visitation will continue from 10AM until the 11AM Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday December 21, 2019 in St. Lawrence Church, 2410 Morris Thomas Rd, Duluth, MN 55811.
