Patsy Glyn (Pat) Sheppard Chastain, age 78, Duluth passed away on Monday, February 27, 2012 at Franciscan Health Center on Park Point.Pat was born November 5, 1933 in Guthrie, Oklahoma, the daughter of Anderson Lee and Clarice Eve (Helf) Sheppard. Her father worked for Shell Oil Company and the family moved quite often. She attended and graduated from LaMar High School and the Houston Conservatory in Houston. She married R. Zane Chastain on December 21, 1956 in Houston. They made their home in Texas until 1974 when the family moved to Duluth.Pat enjoyed Suduko Puzzles, reading, genealogy, taking long drives with her daughters, and visiting her grandparent?s farm in Oklahoma. She volunteered at St. Michael?s School and the Used-A-Bit Shop.Pat was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son.She is survived by her husband, R. Zane of Duluth, Carole Linder of Minnetonka, MN, Lesley Chastain of Duluth, Jill (Andrew) Chastain-Howley of Arlington, TX, and Dominique Chastain of Duluth, grandchildren, Zachary Lee Linder, Cuillin Howley, Perri Howley, and Kean Howley.Private Funeral Services will be held at Dougherty Funeral Home with burial at Forest Hill Cemetery in Duluth.
