Phyllis L. Blesener, 76, of Duluth, died Thursday August 14, 2014 in Solvay Hospice House. She was born in Duluth to Lawrence and Olga Anderson on July 10, 1938. Phyllis worked with her husband at Raymond J. Blesener Architect until retirement. She was made an honorary member of The Society of American Registered Architects in recognition of distinguished service to the architectural profession. Phyllis did volunteer work for The American Cancer Society, enjoyed spending time with her family, and she was an avid reader.
She was preceded in death by her sister Clarice Helquist.
She is survived by her husband Raymond, children Kathleen (David) Anderson, Thomas (Ginny) Blesener, Dale (Andrea) Blesener, James (Linda) Blesener, Ray's daughter Jane Naeyaert, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 19, 2014. Dougherty Funeral Home visitation from 5PM until 7PM with time for sharing starting at 7pm until 7:30 pm.
