Phyllis Fremont

Phyllis W. Fremont, 105, Duluth, died Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the Franciscan Health Center. She was born in Duluth January 24, 1910 to Arthur and Agnes (Russell) Champagne. Phyllis attended Cathedral High School and the College of St. Scholastica where she earned a B.A. She was a charter member of the Daughters of Isabella, a Girl Scout Leader at St. Michael's for over 20 years, a member of Serendipity and AARP. Phyllis was an active member and volunteer at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Chester W. "Chet" Fremont on May 8, 1985. She is survived by her dear sister-in-law June Fremont; nieces and nephews Barbara (Fremont) Stoner, James, Thomas, Daniel and John Fremont and Kathleen (Fremont) Siegler; great-grand nieces and nephews; God-children: Barbara (Murphy) Denslow, Brian Denslow, Thomas and Terri Murphy. A special thank you to Ann and Bruce Todd, and Mona and Mark Nelson, and her many girl scouts. Visitation: 9am Tuesday, February 3, 2015 until the 10am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
