Phyllis Halverson

Phyllis C. Halverson passed away November 22, 2017 at the age of 91, during a hospital stay treating her recent (APL) leukemia. She was born in Duluth, the only child of Elmer and Florence Olsen. Her caring and loving way and artistic talents will be remembered and truly missed by family and the many friends she made at Island Lake and those she dealt those winning pull-tabs. Knitting and donating hats and blankets for premature babies was one of her many passions. Proceeded in death by her loving husband, Donald J. Halverson, she is survived by sons, Brian J. (San Antonio), Jeffrey A. and wife Nancy (Duluth), grandchildren, Donald J. and wife Natalia (California), and Natalie Fulkrod and Hailie Hayes and several great grandchildren.
