Phyllis A. "Flee" Lent, age 75, of Hermantown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Edgewood Vista surrounded by her family.
Phyllis Amelia Peterson was born April 25, 1937 in Duluth, Minnesota, the daughter of Henry and Blanche E. (Harris) Peterson. She grew up in Proctor and was a 1955 graduate of Proctor High School. She married James Erick Lent on May 12, 1956 in Proctor. The family resided in Proctor where she raised her family. In 1989, they moved to Long Lake in Cotton, where she lived until 2006 when she moved to Hermantown.
Flee enjoyed living on the lake and going for pontoon rides, and having lunch with "The Club" once a month. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Flee was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Lent in 1999, her father, Henry Peterson and step-father, Lawrence W. Moen.
She is survived by her children, Steven (Kristi) Lent of Wrenshall, Kevin (Holly) Lent of Cohasset, and Karen (John) Worth of Saginaw, grandchildren, Erik and Noelle Lent, and Sydney and Garrett Worth, great-grandson, Kaden Lent, mother, Blanche Moen of Proctor, siblings, Marilyn (William) Platzer of New Brighton, MN, Carol (Don) Cook of Bountiful, UT, John (Midge) Peterson of Pinehurst, NC, James Peterson of Prior Lake, MN Gerald (Genie) Peterson of Proctor, Sharon Jugasek of Proctor, and Bill Moen of Jenkins, MN, and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Edgewood Vista and Marilyn from St. Luke's Hospice for their care and concern of Flee.
