Plevna Mae Hall Jr., 87, died on October 5, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was born in Duluth, MN on February 16, 1935 to Clifford Sr. and Plevna Sr. She is preceded in death by her parents and 8 siblings. She is survived by her brother, Clifford Jr. of Washington State; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Plevna worked at Goodwill and CHOICE, unlimited. She made an impact on anyone who had the fortune of spending time with her, especially her friends and staff at DRCC. Plevna was unapologetically herself, never afraid to share what made her upset, or made her happy.
She found joy in all things Elvis Presley, coffee & donuts from Dunkin’ Donuts, new shoes, and her annual screwdriver cocktail on her birthday. In addition to meeting people and interacting with others, she enjoyed puzzles, watching children play at Billings Park, shopping, looking at family photos, watching Gunsmoke and Little House on the Prairie, and coloring. She could often be found sunbathing on a warm day drinking coffee listening to her little red radio.
A very special thank you to the wonderful staff and friends at DRCC Triplex, and those caring for Plevna in her final days at St Luke’s Hospital. Your constant love, kindness, and support were invaluable.
Memorial Service will start at 1:00 p.m. with refreshments to follow on Thursday, October 27th at Peace United Church of Christ, 1111 N 11th Ave E, Duluth, MN 55805.
