Raymond Donald Larson, 74, was born into eternal life on March 8, 2014. He was born in St. Paul, MN on April 11, 1939, to Lillian Catherine (Melander) and Clarence James Larson.
Ray worked as a salesman and manager for Johnson Brothers Liquor Company for many years. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, C. J. "Jim" Larson, and infant daughter, Sandra Jeanne.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, of 51 years; daughters Sherri (Dan) Jobin, Sue (John) Brusenhan and Stacy (Jeff) Sandberg and four grandchildren: Alex, Evan and Jacqueline Jobin and Ross Brusenhan; sister, Marguerite Neagle and nieces and nephews.
Ray was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed. He will be sadly missed by all of his animal friends.
Ray's family would like to thank Dr. Steven Long, St. Luke's Hospital 6-ICU nurses and the Solvay Hospice House and staff for their compassionate care.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 2410 Morris Thomas Road, Duluth, MN and will continue Wednesday, March 12, 2014 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Lawrence.
