Regina "Gina" Sheehy

Regina “Gina” Ann Sheehy, 90, of Duluth, passed away peacefully with her family by her side January 19, 2017.

Gina was born on September 10, 1926 in Darlington, WI, to William and Mary Wiegel. Gina graduated from Darlington High School and Bayless Business College, Dubuque, IA.  She worked several years as a secretary until her marriage to Gregory J. Sheehy on November 25, 1948.  They raised 7 children and enjoyed 63 years together till Greg’s death in 2011.  The true joy of her life centered around her faith and her family.  She also enjoyed home making, sewing, gardening, and volunteering in schools, church and community. She instilled in her children her moral values, integrity and deep sense of love of family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Greg; son, Mark; daughter, Teresa Ruhland; and grandson, Mark Ceminsky.

Gina is survived by sons David and Gregory; daughters, Maureen (Freddy) Kustaa, Jane (Dave) Ceminsky, Ellen Sheehy; son-in-law Robert Ruhland; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family would like to thank Primrose for enhancing Gina’s last years of life, and Dr. Kurt Kamper and St Luke’s 5 West and Hospice 2 West Staff for their excellent care.

Funeral Service will be 10AM, January 23, 2017 with visitation one-hour prior in Lumen Christi Catholic Community, 2055 Bohland Ave, St Paul, MN 55116.
