Reginald Wicks

Reginald D. Wicks, 68, of Duluth, passed away in the Mayo Clinic Methodist Hospital Saturday, October 13, 2018.  Reg was born on February 11, 1950 in Minneapolis to Donald and Mabel Wicks.

Reg grew up in Coon Rapids Minnesota. He then served in the army and did a 14-month tour of duty in Vietnam. He later married his wife of 40 years Linda Wicks (Carlson) and moved to Duluth where he remained.  He worked at Essentia Health in Duluth for 27 years as a Commutation Tech.

He enjoyed playing the guitar, riding his bike, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.  He was a sports fan, especially loved his Minnesota Vikings.  He loved spending time in Preston MN along the Root River.  Reg also loved his dog, Louie.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; daughters, Melissa Wicks (Scott Pinsonnault) Gina (Keenan) Wicks-Brown; grandchildren, Libby and Larkin Pinsonnault, Waylon Wicks Brown; siblings, Donald Jr, and Debbie Levchak, numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral Service will be 11AM, Friday, October 19, 2018, with visitation one-hour prior, in the Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E 2nd Street, Duluth, MN 55805.  Burial will take place in the State Veterans Cemetery in Preston, MN on a later date.
