Rene’ Krenelka, 70, of Duluth, passed away at home on January 13, 2021. She was born to Orin and Agnes Henderson in Deer River, Minnesota.
Rene’ spent her childhood living by the Dams at Winnibigoshish and Leach Lakes. After graduating from Northland high school in Remer, Minnesota, Rene attended secondary school in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. For twenty years she lived in Aurora, Minnesota, raising her family and working in Retail. In the 1990s Rene’ moved to Grand Rapids to be closer to family, where she worked at the Hospital and several clinics. Always loving to be near water, Rene spent the last 13 years living in Duluth.
A true northlander, Rene loved biking, camping, hiking, traveling in her camper and walking the beach. Her cooking and baking skills will be missed along with her blue eyes and warm smile. Her enduring faith led her to sing in the church choir for 20 years. Her enthusiasm and kindness were an inspiration to all.
Rene’ is preceded in death by her parents and brother George
She is survived by her husband Glen, children Mathew Hinsz and Stacey Anderson, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and sister Michele Bradway.
A thank you goes out to Adult Daycare at Benedictine, St. Luke’s Hospice, and all the friends and relatives who helped Rene’ stay at home during this time.
Interment will be next summer.
Because of Covid a service will be held at a later date.
