Richard O'Brien

Richard James O'Brien, age 82, of Howell, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2014. He was born July 12, 1932 in Duluth, MN, the son of Paul W. and Myrna E. (Norell) O'Brien. Loving husband of Pauline A. (Thompson) O'Brien. Dear father of Thomas (Janyarak) O'Brien of Bangkok, Thailand, Nancy (John) Bodo of Howell and Lynn (Christopher) Borczon of Livonia. Proud grandfather of Andrew, Jon and Emily and great-grandfather of Lincoln, Dominic and McKenna. He was preceded in death by his brother Paul O'Brien, Jr. Richard was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He graduated from the University of Minnesota, Duluth, with a Bachelor's Degree in Business and retired from Grand Trunk Railroad in Labor Relations. A visitation will be held Sunday, January 4, 2015, from 3-6 p.m. at MacDonald's Funeral Home, Howell. (517) 546-2800. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery, 2516 Woodland Ave. Duluth, MN 55803.
