Richard E. Seglem “Dick”, 92, of Duluth, passed away peacefully with his family by his side Friday, October 13, 2017.
Dick was born June 12, 1925 in Duluth to Thorwald and Mabel. He was A Navy and WWII Vet where he served on the SS Grady and a Korean War vet. Dick was a previous member of St Anthony’s Catholic church and a current member of St. Benedict’s Catholic Church. He was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council 447 for many years.
He enjoyed playing football with his grandsons and great-grandson. He loved his family very much and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marie; and his brother, Bob.
Dick is survived by his daughter, Carol Maupins of St. Paul; grandsons, Aaron (Samantha) and their son Anthony Maupins of Indianapolis, and Lee Maupins of St. Paul; nephews, Scott of Wenshall and Peter of Duluth; nieces, Pam Natopi of MT, and Paula Miller of CO; and many friends.
Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 AM, Thursday, October 19, 2017 with visitation one-hour prior, in St. Benedict Catholic Church, 1419 St Benedict St, Duluth, MN 55811.
