Rita Barbara Fawcett

Rita Barbara Fawcett passed away peacefully at Viewcrest Nursing Facility on Wednesday, November 27th, 2024, at the age of 65. She was born on April 10th, 1959, in Hanau, Germany to Maria Hoffmann and Jack Fawcett.

She retired after 20 years of service as a neurodiagnostic technician at Essentia Health and was a prior caregiver at multiple nursing facilities and private homes.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Barbara & Josef Hoffmann; paternal grandparents, Elsie Fawcett, Thomas & Marge Fawcett; mother & stepfather, Maria & Joseph Aubut; her father and his life partner, Jack Fawcett & Lois Campbell; daughter, Libby Jean Archer; niece, Erin Maria Royal; Libby’s sister, Michelle Archer; and extended family, William Fawcett & Ben Schulz, Theodore Archer, Barbara Archer Churchill (David), and Nancy Archer.

She is survived by her son, Kyle Fawcett; grandson, Markkayden; sisters and their families, Diana & David Royal, Jake & Alexandria Royal (Jack, James & Isabelle), Wendy & Dave Feste, Crystal & Jarett Mickelson (Knox), Ellie Thompson, Jake Feste, Lisa & Bill Lundberg, Billy, Gunnar, and Ingrid Lundberg; Libby’s father and her life time friend Bill (Billy) Archer; cousins’, Irmgard Stiller (Diane, Cheryl), David & Frances Perry; the Archer Family, Bobby Archer, Katy, Jessica & Joey Wahl, Dylan, Tommy Archer, Pamela & Brent Matteson, Stephanie Archer Lee & Raven Lee, Jeannie & Bruce Beron, Josh & Kim Miens, Travis & Bobbie Jo Miens, Debbie & Mike Ecklund, Kristin & Jeremy Wills, Jennifer Ecklund, Mike and Denise Archer, Michaela, John & Amy Archer, Alicia, Adam, Breanna, her dear friend, Dawn Goodermote; and many extended family and friends.

Service will be held on Friday, December 6th, 2024, at Dougherty Funeral Home (600 E. 2nd St. Duluth, MN 55805). Visitation starts at 12pm, funeral service at 1pm, burial follows immediately at Forest Hill Cemetery. Gathering of family and friends at the Incline Station (601 W. Superior St, Duluth, MN 55802).
