Ritsa S. Petrangelo

Ritsa S. Petrangelo, age 72 of Duluth, MN died on October 11, 2023 after a 4 year battle with cancer. She was born in Nicosia, Cyprus on August 23, 1951. She met the love of her life, Nick Petrangelo while he was serving in the military. Eventually, Nick convinced Ritsa to move to Minnesota. They were married on August 2, 1972. Together they raised one daughter, Danielle. Ritsa worked as a Master Tailor for various companies as well as her own. In her free time, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, and travelling. Ritsa was a dedicated member of Twelve Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church. She was involved in many church organizations, and an active member of her community.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sotiris & Anastasia; brother, Renos Solomonides; and aunt, Helen Solomonidou. She is survived by husband, Nick Petrangelo; daughter, Danielle (Joaquim Harris) Petrangelo; grandchildren, Alena, Maritsa, and Luisa Harris; siblings, Savvas Hadjisavvas, Lefteris (Ioanna Solomonidou) Solomonides, and Solon (Stalo Solomonidou) Solomonides; as well as many extended family and friends. She will always be remembered for her unconditional love and dedication to all.

VISITATION Thur., Oct. 19^th from 5-7 p.m. with Trisagion starting at 6:30 p.m. in Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E Second Street. FUNERAL MASS Fri., October 20^th at 11:00 a.m. in Twelve Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church, 632 E 2nd St, Duluth, MN 55805. Interment at Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Twelve Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church.
