Robert Cervenka

Robert F. Cervenka (Bob) died peacefully in his sleep Saturday morning, September 19, 2019 in Duluth, MN. Born in Phillips, Wisconsin on July 1, 1936 to Frank and Ann Cervenka, Bob completed High School in Phillips and then attended the University of Wisconsin - Madison, graduating in 1958 with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Bob went on to found Phillips Plastics Corporation in 1964, which grew to 15 facilities throughout Wisconsin and one in Sunnyvale, CA. Cervenka sold the company in 2010 with sales of $300million annually, employing 1600 people.
In 2011 the Cervenka's moved to Duluth, MN.
Bob is survived by his wife of 36 years, Debbie and sons Steven, Phillips, WI; Thomas (Leslie and Grandchildren Nicole and Mitchell), Manitowish Waters, WI; and daughter Charlene, St. Paul.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Violeta Cervenka.
Family visitation was held at Dougherty Funeral Home, Duluth, MN on September 21, 2015.
