Robert George Johnson

Robert George Johnson, 90, of Duluth, passed away on Saturday April 19, 2025, in Edgewood Vista Memory Care. He was born in Duluth on September 27, 1934, to George and Minna Johnson. Robert was an Army National Guard member after high school graduation. He had worked for US Steel as a plumber, before becoming the owner operator of Dee Independent Cleaners. Robert was a member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Downtown Rotary Club 25, the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, and the AAD Temple Shrine and its Drum and Bugle Corp...

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, and infant twin sister Roberta, and a brother Richard.

Robert is survived by his wife of 66 years Diane, children Bonni (Steve) Licari, Shari (Gary Schneider) Swenson, David (Laurie) Johnson, and Amy (Jon) Fiskness, ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, a sister Mary (Paul) Manns, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Edgewood for the care and love they all showed.
