Robert Pyle, 82 of Duluth died the morning of November 19, 2021 from lung fibrosis at home. Robert was born to the late Richard and Margaret Pyle of Duluth, June 9th, 1939. He was a graduate of Denfeld High School, 1957. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Joy, married 56 years. Daughter, Bonnie Marod (Steve) was the joy of his life. An infant son, Daniel, died at birth. He leaves three grandsons, Daniel, Andrew & Aaron. Sisters Marilyn (Jerry), Muriel (Tim), and brother, Richard (Noreen). He also leaves many cousins, nieces & nephews, in addition to many new and life-long friends. Graduate of University of Minnesota Duluth, University of North Dakota and Kent State University, Dr. Pyle’s professional life of fifty years, consisted of providing mental health services to patients in area hospitals and mental health clinics. In addition, he maintained a private practice in the Medical Arts Building, Duluth. In retirement, he volunteered at Minnesota Teen Challenge, St. Mary’s Hospital and Solvay Hospice. He knew the importance of the gift of Christian faith, having an intentional relationship with Jesus Christ and he endeavored to live it out faithfully. He loved people and was always a ready listener. He greatly enjoyed classic country and gospel music, trout fishing, hockey, fast motorcycles and contemplative conversations. Our thanks and gratitude to the caring nurses of Essentia Home Hospice. Interment was held at Forest Hill Cemetery on December 1, 2021.
