Robert Adrian Stickney, 77 of Duluth, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 in St. Luke's Hospital. He was born on Jan. 5, 1935 to Maurice and Ione Stickney in Virginia, MN.
Bob was a 1953 graduate of Cathedral High School. Bob married Suzanne L. Damberg on Nov. 30, 1957 in Duluth, MN, they would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary this year. He was the owner/operator of Endresen Sound Company now known as ESC Systems.
Bob was a long time member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and currently attended St. Mary Star of the Sea. He was also a member of the Elks Club and Kiwanis Club in his younger years, he was an avid golfer at the Enger Park Golf Coarse where he played in the league. Bob was a UMD Bulldog fan and a MN Viking fan.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Ione and Maurine and his brother, Edward.
Survivors include his wife, Sue of Duluth; his daughters, Denise (Gary) Walberg of Superior, WI; Michele (Derek) Lingberg of Duluth; Colette (Mark) Thesenvitz of So. St. Paul, MN; his sister, Jackie (Sal) Loiacono of Coon Rapids, MN; his grandsons, Garrett, Davin, Trent and Carrson.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012 in Dougherty Funeral Home Chapel with a prayer service at 6:00 PM and will continue Friday, Nov. 9, 2012 from 9:00 AM until the 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
