Robert “Bob” Pearson
A most obliging and loyal man with a 'killer' smile, Bob Pearson, left us to take a higher office on May 4, 2018 in St. Luke's Hospital. He was born in Duluth on February 15, 1933, to Carl and Florence Pearson.
He loved and was proud of many things; his family, and being raised as a 'Heights kid', attending Central High School and Dunwoody Business School, the U.S Marines and later being a member of the Honor Guard plus helping other veterans until recently, his children, his work life and employers. He was especially proud of all the work and the results of the Korean War Memorial. His smile was his card and he carried it through thick and thin his entire life and varied work experience, retiring in 2009. He was courageous as he accepted all of the challenges to his health and life this past year. Bob was a good and generous husband, father, friend and employee.
Missing his presence here on earth are his wife, Colette; daughters, Stephanie and Nancy; Colette's children, Dan, Dave, Julie, and Rachel; his brother, Ed and sisters, Irene and Katherine; seven grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Pearson family wishes to extend deepest thanks to A1 Movers, John Marshall and crew, and Dryco for funds and labor to build a ramp so Bob could come home from the hospital. Also, many thanks to Ed, John, Rod, and Margaret for helping out at this time and to many who volunteered to help if/when help was needed. God bless you all.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 10am until the 11 AM Memorial Service and Celebration of Life in the Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 East 2nd Street, Duluth MN 55805, 218-727-3555. Military Honors will be accorded by the Duluth Honor Guard.
