Robin L. Anderson, went to be with the Lord on December 29, 2021, under the care of Beehive Homes in Duluth at age 74. Robin was born July 25, 1947 to Herb and Gayle Gerber and grew up in the Lakeside neighborhood. When she was 9, her parents blessed her with a sister and best friend, Sandy Uttley. As a teen, Robin enjoyed working for her aunt at the Lester Park Golf course in concessions. She was also a devoted member of Lakeside Presbyterian Church and loved her church family dearly.
Robin was a life-long resident of Duluth and a 1965 graduate of Duluth East High School. It was there where she met her husband of 54 years, Ron Anderson. The two were married on August 26, 1967. Robin worked several secretarial jobs while Ron finished college and was in the Army. In 1974, she had her first child and became a full time mother, and went on to have two more children in 1976 and 1979. She loved her family dearly and always put them first. She didn’t miss a school pageant, dance recital, hockey or baseball game. She hosted all of the holiday gatherings. Many days were spent taking her kids to and from work no matter the time of day, camping, and going to the cabin.
In recent years, she and Ron spent winters in Englewood, Florida and summers in Lake Nebagamon, Wisconsin. Robin always wanted her family to be near and under her roof. She looked forward to her visits from her 5 grandchildren and kids. She loved her grandchildren and was a great mother and grandmother.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Ron; three children Rhonda (Pat) Olson, Raemi (Chris) Hendrickson, and Ryan (Joy Westbrook) Anderson; five grandchildren Cade Olson, Halle Olson, Kian Hendrickson, Chase Hendrickson, and Reagan Anderson. Robin is also survived by her sister Sandy (Don) Uttley; several cousins, nieces, and nephews, and many friends.
The family would like to thank the Beehive staff (including the kitchen staff), St. Croix Hospice, Anita Schendel, and all the people that visited or prayed for her during her 5-year battle with Alzheimer’s. Memorials requested to Lakeside Presbyterian Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.
Services will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Lakeside Presbyterian Church, 4430 McCulloch Street in Duluth. Visitation will begin at 10 AM, with service to follow at 11AM.
