Ronald Davidson

Ronald A. Davidson, 88, of Duluth, passed away peacefully at home on March 23, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.

Ronald was raised in Duluth and attended Central High School.  He married Florence, the love of his life, in 1954.  While starting a family and working various jobs, he decided to follow his dream and attend barber school.  He worked at Norm’s Barber Shop before he opened his own successful shop called Ron’s Barber Shop, in the Lakeside/Lester Park neighborhood.  He so enjoyed barbering that upon his retirement, he continued to work part-time at his friend Pete’s, Lakeside Barber Shop.

He enjoyed many family vacations, special times with friends fishing, hunting at the shack, and talking with his customers.

He is preceded in death by his parents Orville and Ida, a brother Charles, and son James.

Survivors include his wife, Florence, children Kathy (Alan) Dunn, Patricia (Thomas) Lawson, Ronald (Barb) Davidson, Mary Jo Booth, John (Tracy) Davidson, and 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at 10 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 2, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Duluth.
