Rose "Bunny" Hein

Our Savior Jesus Christ has destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel. Let us remember with thanksgiving what God has done through His servant, Rose LaVerne "Bunny" Hein.

Rose was given life by our Creator and was born on July 5, 1927, to William Harrison Pittsford and Alma Mathilda (Michalk) Pittsford. On July 31, 1927, she received the gift of Holy Baptism in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, through which she became a child of God. She confessed that baptismal faith in the rite of Confirmation at the age of thirteen and was admitted to the altar to receive the medicine of immortality, Christ’s life-giving body and blood. Rose was joined together in holy matrimony to Robert Hugo Hein on June 9, 1948. On January 17, 2023, at the age of 95 years, she fell asleep in Jesus. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Jeanne (Monte) Montgomery, Rose Marie (Jerry) Falk, and Robin Kaye (Randy) Muench; grandchildren, Stephen (Rachel) Montgomery, Anya (Rev. Winston) Grieser, and Rev. Josef (Tessa) Muench; great-grandchildren Maclaren, Micaiah, Mackinley, Mackenna, and Micayle Montgomery, Annabelle, Kurt, and Holly Grieser, and Ambrose and James Muench; four nephews and seven nieces.

We miss our loving mother dearly, yet our confidence is in Christ. We trust she now rests in the arms of Jesus, awaiting the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come, and we look forward to a blessed reunion in heaven. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.

VISITATION: Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 pm in Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E Second Street, Duluth, MN and continues Friday, January 27 at 10:00 am, with services at 11:00 am at Mt. Olive English Lutheran Church, 2012 E Superior Street, Duluth. Burial at Sunrise Memorial Park.
