Rosemary “Rosie” Agnew, 93 of Duluth, died Thursday, November 22, 2018 at Chris Jensen Health Center. Rosie was born April 4, 1925 in Duluth to Patrick and Loretta Agnew. She graduated high school from Stanbrook Hall, then to St. Scholastica, where she received by degree in Nursing. Rosie served as a Cadet Nurse during WW II; as a RN in Milwaukee and at St. Mary’s in Duluth. She ended her career teaching nursing at St. Luke’s. She was the “Consummate nurse”. Rosie was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary. She was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Loretta; her brothers, Patrick, Tom, John and George and her sister, Loretta. Rosie is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Rosie’s family would thank the staff at Wesley Assisted Living and Chris Jensen for their loving care of Rosie.
Visitation will begin Friday, November 30 at 10am with a rosary at 10:30am and Memorial Mass at 11am in the Cathedral of our Lady of the Rosary, 2801 E 4th St. Duluth. Burial at Calvary Cemetery, Superior. Arrangement by Dougherty Funeral home, 600 E 2nd St. Duluth, MN (218) 727-3555.
